Overall, the SCUF Infinity 4PS PRO is a solid controller. Thumbsticks are available in either normal or tall height, and domed or concave tips. SCUF’s Ring and Lock system lets you quickly and easily swap out thumbsticks to match your preferred style. Thumbsticks can be easily changed out as well. The paddles do take a bit of getting used to, but they work flawlessly once you’re comfortable with them. It does take some getting used to, having additional paddles underneath your fingers, but the additional functionality is definitely great. I’ll talk more about the paddles and their performance in later sections, but they are placed in a manner that is comfortable to use. On the Infinity 4PS Pro, the paddles attach directly to the controller, but can be removed individually with a quick push and twist. Where SCUF’s earlier Xbox One controllers had paddles, those were usually all attached to a removable plate that attached the paddles to your controller. The face buttons are not labeled, which may cause an issue if you’re not familiar with the PlayStation controller button layout, but chances are good if you’re looking at these controllers you’ve already got that part handled. The test controller that I was sent has a nice soft-touch blue faceplate with silver buttons, white thumbstick rings, and blue SCUF military grade grip. Everything from faceplate color, button color, rear grip color, thumbsticks, grip, and everything in between can be tweaked to your exact specification. The Infinity line in particular features an incredible number of options to make this controller truly your own. Otherwise, the name of the game with any SCUF controller is customization. This is just one of many possibly customization options available for the SCUF Infinity 4PS PRO. The SCUF controller is just very slightly lighter too. Not enough to be a distraction or a problem, and really it may have just been all my imagination, but for someone like me with bigger hands, it’s a very nice change. The first thing you’ll notice is that the SCUF controller feels just ever so slightly bigger than a Dual Shock 4 controller. There are plenty of differences too though, so we’ll jump right in and talk about those here. The SCUF Infinity 4PS Pro controller has the same overall shape of your standard PlayStation 4 controller, so I won’t go into too much detail about the similarities between this and the Sony Dual Shock 4.
